Punctuality is the soul of business. A myriad feel comfortable to end classes late, hence it becomes a habit, even after graduating. Lateness is bad for a business owner talk less of an employee.

Below are tips to avoid lateness as a student…

SET CLEAR EXPECTATION

Make it clear right up front that prompt attendance is expected of you as a student, as it grooms you for the outer world or life after school.

MASTER YOUR LECTURE TIME TABLE

As a student, you must ensure you know the time and venue of all lecture courses according to the timetable as well as in cases of fixed classes.

ARRANGE BAG AND CLOTHES BEFORE ANOTHER LECTURE DAY

As a student, you need to arrange your books and other writing materials into your bags before lectures that is on previous days as well as your clothing in order to avoid rush. Same applies to food packs if you are the type that takes food to classes.

GET BATHING MATERIAL AVAILABLE

Make it a habit to get your water for bath readily available the previous day.

AVOID LATE DINNER

If you must eat dinner, avoid late dinner and if it happens you eat late, avoid heavy food so you could wake up as early as you want.

AVOID SLEEPING LATE

Early to bed, early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise. Sleeping early will help you wake early. If the reason why you are constantly late for class is because you find it difficult to get yourself out of bed in the morning, you might not be getting enough sleep. When you wake up after few hours of sleep, it is nearly impossible to muster the willpower to crawl out of your warm bed.

SET AN ALARM

An alarm goes a long way in helping one to stay awake, ensure you set the alarm for an hour or more before your lecture time to be able to freshen up, eat and get to the lecture hall before the lecture time.
