PHOTOS: VOTING RESULTS OF AAUA INSIDER AWARDS 2021

The leading digital journalistic platform in Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, AAUA INSIDER, organized the most dignified and meritorious award ceremony in the university on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at the popular Olusegun Obasanjo Multipurpose Hall (OBJ Hall).

AAUA INSIDER AWARDS ‘21 is aimed at celebrating promising AAUA students who have been remarkable and achieved extraordinary and commendable feats in the year under review. The award ceremony serves to formally recognize young people who excel in their chosen fields and exemplify the best attributes of the world’s young people.

The categories and the votes gathered

  1. Adebayo Tosin also known as Genesis MOST OUTSTANDING STUDENT IN LEADERSHIP, a meritorious award for a student remarkable and active in leadership, after amassing 168 votes out of 418 votes in the category. Akintewe Damilola gathered 118, while Adegbeyeni Oluwafemi ‘Barryfem’.

 

2. In the category of the SELFLESS CONTRIBUTION TO A WORTHY CAUSE, a meritorious award for a student with an impacting, influential and sustainable project or organization, Adegbeyeni Oluwafemi ‘Barryfem’ won the award after gathering 156 votes out of 402 in the category, Akintewe Damilola gathered 136 votes while JCIN AAUA gathered 110 votes.

3. Agbolahan Salam of Social and Management Science won the MOST OUTSTANDING STUDENT IN FACULTY MANAGEMENT category, a meritorious award for a student in faculty management with influence and capacity when he gathered 137 votes out of 308 in the category. Adetula Michael ‘Justice’ of Law gathered 72 while Oloyede Zacchaeus ‘Zaehkkman’ of Science gathered 99 votes.

4. In the MOST OUTSTANDING AAUA PERSONALITY, a meritorious award for a student with an ambassadorial spirit representing AAUA in excellence within and outside the campus Adebayo Tosin ‘Genesis’ won after recording 185 votes out of 400 votes in the category. Akintewe Damilola recorded 131 votes and Adesola Ikulajolu ‘Oloye’ had 84 votes.

5. In the world of entertainment, Adekola Ajayi known as MC Dekola emerged as the winner of the MOST OUTSTANDING STUDENT IN ENTERTAINMENT, a meritorious award for a student with a remarkable passion and influence in entertainment with 162 votes out of 364 total votes. Olakanye Femi ‘Catalyst’ recorded 52 votes, Ogundare Henry ‘K4C NOONI’ had 66 votes and Patrick Okeke ‘Pattoski Aladdin’ gathered 84.

6. In the journalistic world, the ‘rookie’ Peter Emmanuel Ojo won the MOST OUTSTANDING STUDENT IN JOURNALISM award, a meritorious award for a student amplifying the stories of AAUA with his or her journalistic writings or reports with 104 votes, Agbelusi Samuel had 85 votes, Anjorin Phillip had 76 votes and Adesola Ikulajolu had 83 votes out of 348 total votes.

7. E-Connect won the MOST OUTSTANDING STUDENT IN ENTREPRENEURSHIP award, a meritorious award for a student with a life-impacting and beyond the norm sense of entrepreneurship, with 236 votes out of 400 in the category. Omoniyi Tolulope of Christy Sassy Fashion World gathered 64 votes and Seyifunmi Francis Adéọ̀ṣun of Francofone Frozen Foods had 100 votes.

8. Akinwumi Olamide ‘Kante’ won the MOST OUTSTANDING STUDENT IN SPORT award, a meritorious award for an active and passionate sportsman or sportswoman with an ambassadorial spirit with 183 votes. God’s Favour Chiemerie gathered 25 and Oluwafemi Jackson recorded 126 votes.

9. Enactus AAUA won the MOST OUTSTANDING STUDENT ORGANIZATION category, a meritorious award for a student-developing, community development and selfless organization on campus), Impact Leaders Club AAUA had 56 votes, JCIN AAUA had 112 votes, SWG recorded 71 votes.

Congratulations to the nominees and the winners in each category.

The three honorees at the event were the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr Olusegun Owolewa, the president of the alumni association, Mr Kunle Adetoba and Head of Station Agidigbo 887 FM, Adebayo Yousuph Grey. 

According to the program director of AAUA Insider, Agbelusi Samuel, the event, which is the first of its kind is here to stay.
