NSASA DECIDES 2020: TOPTEA emerges as President of Sociology and Anthropology department

On July 3, 2021, the department of National Association of Sociology and Anthropology (NSASA) was able to elect another new executive who will govern over the department for another new session which is 2020/2021 academic session.

The election started as at 10 am in which all things  have been put in place by the electoral committee which was chaired by Alonge Joshua and security officers in order. The atmosphere of the polling unit/election was peaceful and there was no casualty that was recorded.

While interviewing some of the student who were voted, one who pleaded anonymity said, with the view of things right from the time she have been here that the election ground have been peaceful and we haven’t record any form of casualty.

Those who were vining for the post of President are Adelekun Theophilus also known as Hon. Toptea, Comrade Olukoyede Olanrewaju also known as Prof Jerry,  Comrade Ologunowa Titilayo also known as Layomi, while the position of the Welfare Director was poll in-between Henry and Oranmiitan Boluwatife Loveth known as Tifeh.

For the remaining positions, right from the position of the Vice President was unopposed, so the people who were able to obtain the form have become representatives of the department.

After the counting of the vote, the chairman of the electoral committee which is the person of , Alonge Joshua as at 3:30pm on that very day declared Adelekun Theophilus known as Hon.Toptea, the winner of the president election and Oranmiitan Boluwatife Loveth known as Tifeh as the Welfare Director. The remaining positions are; V.P, Gen Sec, AGS, P.R.O, SOMASSA SRC, NSASA SRC, Liberian and some others positions remain were all unopposed.
