NAPPAS installs Ajipe as patron, awards others at maiden lecture

The National Association of Political Science and Public Administration Students(NAPPAS), Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba-Akoko Chapter in her maiden Public Lecture, held June 16 2021, honoured Chief Alex Oluremi Ajipe with a meritorious award and installed him as a Patron, becoming an honorary member of the prestigious association.

In the event tagged: “The Nigerian Democratic Re-invention”, which forms part of the programmes set by the association to mark the 2019/2020 NAPPAS’ Week, Prof. Azeez Olaniyan of Department of Political Science, Federal University of Oye Ekiti, delivered a Public Lecture titled: “The Spirit of Secession Never Dies: State Fragility and Dysfunctional Federalism in Nigeria”.

During the reception of the honour, Mr. Tunde Adebiyi who ably represented Chief Alex Ajipe recounted the huge achievements of the Emure-Ile born business mogul and humanitarian, which includes his immense contributions to societal development, making the award and honorary membership bestowed on him deserving.

The occasion also had in attendance some eminent personalities who were also honoured with the meritorious award: Hon. Festus Akingbaso(MHA Representing Idanre Constituency, ODHA), Mr. Raymond O. Daodu (Managing Director, Moon Stone Consulting Limited), Hon Ohiremen Olabisi John.

Dr. Owolewa (Dean of Student Affairs), Prof. Lanre Olu-Adeyemi (Head of Department, Political Science and Public Administration), Lecturers and Students in Department of Political Science and Public Administration, and AAUA at large received the guests and graced the auspicious occasion.
