She added that a day is not enough to celebrate the impact of women in the society.
The statement read, “Women have in the past been relegated to second class citizens, The scenery of the world for women has changed over time and decades. It has mainly happened due to the efforts of all the women in the past. Now, there is no space where women aren’t working and excelling at what they are doing. Women manage a number of things at the same time.
“Harriet Beecher Stowe, a famous American Author was recounted to have said ‘They build not only themselves but a whole community. Yet history has failed the women many a time to represent what a woman can be. There cannot be just a day to celebrate a woman. Every day should be a day, where we respect the divinity of women’ the need for women to be celebrated.
“However, women are enjoined not to cease to make an effort; relax after exertion; stop working after recording success or completing a task as we are hopeful of breaking more barriers.
“We there enjoin the society, government at large to ensure that notable roles and recognition are given to Women in society and in politics.”
