Insider Kitchen: 4 Fruits and 7 Different Smoothie Recipes for Students

Today’s recipe literally “Stretches the DOLLAR”. I walked into the store and I was thinking of the best way to spend the money I had when this idea came to my mind.
Most of the time, I’m either in a hurry to leave in the morning or too tired to do it at night, so if I really want a smoothie, I had to buy. Well, we all know that kind of ‘buying’ is a luxury for students.

Back to my story, I walked into the store and came out with the following:

1 Box of strawberries

2 Mangos

3 Kiwis

3 Bananas.

1Gallon of milk

You will also need seven empty plastic bottles to store the smoothies.

LET’S MAKE THESE SMOOTHIES

The first thing I did was to wash the fruits and divide each of them into four parts. There’s no perfect measurement for this (I suggest quantities below, but it’s not set in stone). You should end up with four small bowls of each fruit. The idea behind this is to have everything ready so that when you start blending, you won’t stop until you finish. It just makes life easy for you. If you don’t have that many bowls, don’t sweat it either.

SMOOTHIE 1 – STRAWBERRY AND MANGO

I believe that if Strawberry and Mango were human beings, they would be Soulmates and married; that’s how well they go together for me. Does anyone else agree with me?

Strawberries + Half Mango + 1 Cup of milk.

SMOOTHIE 2 – MANGO AND KIWI

This has a very strong tart taste. It’s not as sweet as the first smoothie. If you like tart-flavored drinks, you would love this.

Half Mango + 1 Kiwi + 1 Cup of milk.

SMOOTHIE 3 – STRAWBERRY AND KIWI

Strawberries are just sweethearts; no wonder they are shaped like hearts. They have a way of making everything sweet.

6 Strawberries + 1 Kiwi + 1 Cup of milk.

SMOOTHIE 4 – MANGO AND BANANA

One of my mangoes was not too ripe. This smoothie came out with a sweet-tart taste. It was the first one I finished.

Half Mango + 1 Banana + 1 Cup of milk.

SMOOTHIE 5 – KIWI AND BANANA

I run out of words to describe the flavor of this smoothie. I really liked the taste of it. If you try it, let me know what you think.

1 Kiwi + 1 Banana + 1 Cup of milk.

SMOOTHIE 6 – STRAWBERRY AND BANANA

This smoothie was just amazing. It came really close to the Strawberry and Mango. It has a very sweet flavor.

6 Strawberries + 1 Banana + 1 Cup of milk.

SMOOTHIE 7 – STRAWBERRY, MANGO, BANANA, AND KIWI

This is just a burst of flavors. Even if you don’t try anyone else, you have to try this one! It’s just beautiful to taste.

6 Strawberries + Half Mango + 1 Banana + 1 Kiwi.

All seven smoothies cost around $12. This will vary based on where you stay or where you shop. But think about it: if you bought a smoothie from your favorite place every day for a week, you will end up spending way more than this. But with way less, you can blend everything over the weekend and just cruise through your week. No more excuse for missing breakfast!!

I was really excited about this. This Dollar went a long way!
