CAN YOU SHARE LITTLE OF YOUR EXPERIENCE AT FEDPOLY, ADO?
My experience at Federal Polytechnic of Ado-Ekiti was okay and I gained a lot, I studied science laboratory technology. I was once a member of National association of Oye student union. I was the vice president, when I was in ND2 I wanted to go for president but had to step down due to financial reasons and i got to be the P.A to the president. I am capable, I will work for the betterment of the student welfarism and academic welfarism.
WHAT MAKES YOU THINK YOU’RE CAPABLE?
What makes me capable is because I have the zeal to service. When I was in 100lv in Adekunle Ajasin University, I was the assistant course representative of my department, in 200lv I was the classrep. I served four departments that’s biological science; the AEB, PSB, MCB and I was vibrant and served well.
OF ALL VITAL POSITIONS IN NASS, WHY VICE PRESIDENT?
The vice president is the position i know i can hold to help our people to grow more and still be vibrant. I have a lot of plans If i emerge as the vice president of Nass, apart from academic welfarism, the issues of tutorials, quiz and debates. I also have so many plans for the female students and the male students as well. There are so many things I want the ladies to see they are capable of doing, either it’s a political post or sport, I will help motivate the female students. There will be female empowerment.
WHO ARE YOU CURRENTLY LOOKING UP TO?
I am looking up to so many people like the likes of Comrade Valentina, Comrade Dammy and Comrade Jemnie. Valentina is a vibrant woman and she served. They are vice-president and they all are vibrant and woman of their words. I will like to imitate those good characters from them, I will be accountable for my words. In the academic welfarism, I will put all effort to make academic in the faculty enjoyable and comfortable.
WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY ABOUT THE NEW Ẹ-VOTING AND THE HIKE IN FORM FEE?
About the prize of the form, it is too expensive. I was once a SUEC member and the amount of the form is not expensive, then the vice president paid the sum of N2,500 but it is N4,500 now. When we asked why the form fee was hiked, they said they want to bring about a new form of voting i.e Electronic voting, that was why the form fee was raised.
DO YOU TRUST THE NEW Ẹ-VOTING PROCESS?
I do not trust the process of E-voting, I am against it, ‘let’s take a look at all is well and solution election’ cause the vote can be tampered with but since they promised the election would be free and fair, no problem.
ARE YOU OPPOSING Ẹ-VOTING BECAUSE YOUR OPPONENT IS A COMPUTER SCIENCE STUDENT?
I am not opposing the E-voting because my opponent is from computer science department. That’s the only example i can make mention of, All is well and Solution election.
IN YOUR VIEW, DO YOU THINK THE OUTGOING VP OF NASS HAS PERFORMED WELL?
The outgoing Vice President of NASS has performed well.
IF YOU LOSE, WILL YOU ACCEPT DEFEAT?
I will accept defeat because politics is a game, it is either win or lose.
