A predominant number of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, students have expressed their grievances about the absence of student executives at the protest tagged “SAY NO TO HEAVY TRUCK IN AKUNGBA”.
This was made known by the students who came out in hundreds to show their great displeasure at heavy trucks plying through the Akungba community despite the erected barricade.
It was discovered at the scene that Obagunwa Oluwasegun known as Supreme who is the current Student Union (SU) President was nowhere to be found, neither any of his executives currently piloting the affairs of the Students’ Union.
At the scene of the protest, students accused Supreme of colliding with the Nigeria Army Force who arrested about 13 students during the peaceful.
A student said, “Supreme is the worst student union president ever in the history of Adekunle Ajasin University”.
More so, the student gave kudos to the late student union president, Adesomoju Samuel known as Sampraise who led the agitations for reduction of tuition fee after it was hiked by the Ondo State governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN.
According to the student, “Good trees do not last in forest relating it to the late Adesomoju Samuel who fought and won the battle but cut short by 23rd Jan accident where several lives were lost.
“We missed our hero and regret having a mediocre as the current No 1 student of AAUA”.
As of the time of filing this report the protest has been subsided by the student.
In conclusion, the question that begs for an answer is: “Supreme are you with us or against us?”
