Bruno Fernandes breaks Premier League record as he wins Player of the Month award for December

Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandez has become the first player in Premier League history to win Player of the Month four times in the same calendar year.

Fernandez was named the EA SPORTS Player of the Month for December 2020 earning him the fourth award in a single year.

“Three goals and four assists was a complete month,” Fernandes said. “Scoring and assisting your team-mates is perfect. I want to achieve other trophies and awards but I’m really happy to make history.”

He won it back-to-back after scooping the November edition.
He won the other two in February and June.

The Portuguese topped an eight-man shortlist that included Anwar El Ghazi, Emiliano Martinez, Ben Mee, Marcus Rashford, Mohamed Salah, Tomas Soucek and John Stones.
