Akeredolu Commissions AAUA Business School To Promote Economic Growth

The Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN) commissioned the newly completed Adekunle Ajasin University Business School in Akure, the state capital.

The Governor emphasized that building a business school of a compelling status is highly significant to his administration as a government that is committed to innovation and entrepreneurial growth through provision of functional education.

This was contained in a press release which was released today by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Richard Olatunde.

He described the business school as another lofty signpost of his administration’ commitment to this kind of education to drive economic growth, self reliance among the people and all round development in the state.

He also stated his awareness that the business school will offer specialization and professional courses for entrepreneurship oriented graduates, career persons and corporate organizations through its internal resources and meaningful collaboration with the world class business institution around the globe.

In addition, he said that the architectural features of the newly-built Business School give Ondo State the bragging rights of owning the 2nd strategically positioned Business School in the whole of Southwest Nigeria.

However, he noted that there is more need to bring up other utility buildings, lodging and relaxation centre with the premises to complement the university effort at excellent service delivery.

While noting that government alone cannot fund education for very obvious reasons, Akeredolu called on philanthropists, relevant stakeholders, corporate organizations and well-to-do citizens to join his administration to expand the frontiers of infrastructural development of institution in the state.

The Governor said, “More importantly at this time, we seek support from corporate individuals and organization towards ensuring that the Adekunle Ajasin University Business School, Akure, is well positioned to deliver on its mandate.”
