Aiyegbeni: Rohr, Some Super Eagles Players Not Good Enough for the team

Former Super Eagles striker Yakubu Aiyegbeni has launched a verbal attack on Super Eagles’ coach Gernot Rohr and some of the players classifying them”Not good Enough”

Aiyegbeni stated this after the Eagles’ unimpressed performances in both home and away encounter, securing only two points out of possible six points available against the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone in the 2021 AFCON qualifiers.

After losing a four-goal lead to draw against Leone Stars in the first encounter in Benin City, they were held to a goalless draw in Freetown on Tuesday.

Speaking on the matches Aiyegbeni questioned the quality of some players and calls for the sacking of Gernot Rohr.

“The coach is not good enough, let him go,” the former Everton man said in a phone interview with Lagos Talks.

“Some of the boys are not good enough, I don’t know where they are bringing them from. Who is inviting these players?

“Our football is getting worse every day. When I was there, people criticise us, but we’re way better than these ones.

“The coach is not good enough, no clue. Gernot Rohr is one of the worst coaches in our history. He is not good enough.”
