AAUASU leaders set to dialogue with caretakers, house owner over rent

The Student Union Leaders of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko has called for a roundtable with house owners and caretakers to discuss students’ welfare.

This was revealed in an invitation letter addressed to the caretaker association’s chairman, signed by the student union president, Ogunsanmi Kolade (Multiple) and the general secretary, Tolulope Adeyefa (Elite) today.

The meeting is to iron out pressing issues facing accommodation within the vicinity as students are expected to resume back to school since 17th of October, 2022 after the suspension of the 8-month long ASUU strike.

The meeting is scheduled to take place at the Students’ Union Conference Hall, Students’ Union Building, Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba-Akoko tomorrow, October 24, by 10am.

The letter also reiterated the union’s commitment to build a more cordial relationship between the students’ community and house owners or caretakers that gives accommodation to students on rent in the university host community.
