Q. Tell us more about you
A. I am Rotimi Temitope Roseline, socially and politically know as Temmierose on campus, a 300L Educational management student from faculty of Education. I hail from Idanre local government in Ondo State and I was born and brought up in Lagos.
I attended Magodo community primary school and also did my Junior Secondary School at Ikoyi for three years and also did my Senior Secondary School at Ikoyi High School in Ketu, Lagos state. I was done with secondary school around 2019, and I gained admission that same year and also I am a business lady running two business currently which are Eat with Temmy(popularly known on campus) and Motilola Collection that deals with all kinds of wear.
Q. Why did you decide to contest for Vice President?
A. Right from 100L, when I resume school I noticed that the system was real and I could see the happiness in people, then after asking around about what was going on, I later got use to the system and became interested in Unionism. Right from that particular time I made a determination to serve the people, solve their problems when necessary and also to be able to stand and speak for everyone. I realized that in order to do so, one have to be in a position of authority.
Q. What are your motivations for the post?
A. As a leader, I have the desire to portray the leadership skill, to be able to sacrifice, and to be the voice of the people.
Q. Did you plan to do something different when you emerged as the Vice President of AAUASU
A. The office deals with Education and welfarism, when talking about orientation and Tutorial, especially Tutorial there main focus is on GST and leaving the departmental and faculty course for the people to look for way to get it, so I plan on involving all vice president starting from the faculty down to the department, then look for volunteers and organize tutorials on everyone courses so we won’t have any lapse whereby student only get to pass GST alone.
Q. What are the plans for the students and AAUA SU?
A. As the vice president according to the constitution, I want to work hard and sacrifice my time, and to give them the best which includes working on the issue of hostel that is meant to be the safest place on campus, alot are suffering from that, also I am planning on calling everyone especially the excos at the hostel and ask for their opinion and also a good solution to solve the problem.
