AAUA students ‘excited’ to resume back on campus

Auspicious students of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA) Ondo State, has expressed their excitement to resume for second semester of the 2019/2020 academic session after the approval the calendar by the Senate of the University.

The first semester of the current academic session ended on Wednesday, March 24, 2021, the Senate directed all students are to resume for the Second semester 2019/2020 academic session on Tuesday, April 6, 2021, while those in the University’s halls of residence are expected to resume on Monday, April 5, 2021.

In compliance with the Senate’s approval, a predominant number of students resumed back to campus on Tuesday, April 6 2021 with bright faces and beautiful smiles.

With the elongated COVID-19 break that seems unending followed by the disastrous accident that occurred earlier this year and then the tension of the first semester examination, students of AAUA are happy that a new semester has commenced.

The second semester, which usually contains different forms of extra-curricular activities ranging from departmental/faculty week to final year students’ celebration and finally signing out jamborees by the finalists.

Speaking with AAUA INSIDER, a propitious student, Tobiloba, a 100 level student of Mathematics department expressed his joy and happiness on being back to campus, he also prayed that we do not experience any more delay.

Another student, Adewale a 400 level student of Computer Science complained bitterly on how he was supposed to have graduated since last year, but he said he is still thankful that he is starting his last semester in AAUA.

Mubarak, a Law undergraduate, lauded the approval of the academic calendar by the Senate of the school, to cover up for the time that have been avoidably wasted by unforeseen circumstances.
