An auspicious student of Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba-Akoko, Oluwadamilola Akintewe, a 500 level Student from the faculty of Law, has been listed amongst the Exceptional and Outstanding Law Students in Nigeria.
The listing was organized by LawVerse Magazine, a publication that focuses on the practice of Law. The listing comes months after being named among the 2021 Top 10 Global in the world by Chegg and Varkey foundation.
However, Akintewe had won the inaugural Samantha Singh Memorial Award and was also crowned the Miss Speaker of Miss Career Africa 2020. She was also among the top 10 finalists for the inaugural Global Student Prize 2020, as well as one of the nominees for Her Network “Woman of the future” award 2021.
Akintewe is the founder of Forbidden Topic that focuses on offering legal approaches to helping young females with societal and marginalized issues that affect them.
On her Facebook page, Damilola noted that her response to young people who are on the verge of giving up was not to lose themselves for the sake of applause but instead, keep at what they do because they might never know who they’re inspiring with their consistent small drop of water.
Finally, she said, “I am honored to inspire law students in Nigeria generally and to continue to be a loud voice for feminist movement across tertiary institutions in Nigeria.”
