The legislative arm of Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba-Akoko, AAUA, Student Union, has given a three day ultimatum to every concerned executive to provide the Union’s statement of account.
In the letter obtained by AAUA INSIDER, the three working days takes effect from Monday, October 25 2021 till Wednesday, 27 2021.
Recall that the SRC vowed to summon all past union leaders involved in alleged embezzlement to a free and fair hearing.
In the letter signed by Rt. Hon. Rasheed Adeleke, SRC Senate President, failure to provide the statement of account shall invite the ‘wrath of the constitution’.
The statement read in part, “We write to inform you and other concerned executives of the boiling need to provide the statement of account of AAUASU within Three (3) working days with effective from Monday, 25th of October 2021 till Wednesday 27th of October 2021.
“Let it be known and well acknowledged that failure to provide the statement of account of the AAUASU within the earlier stipulated time shall invite the wrath of the constitution and necessary actions from the Students Representative Council in accordance and conformity with the provisions of AAUASU constitution shall follows.”
The SRC added that all transactions concerning withdrawal of funds has been suspended till further notice.
“Let is be known that all transactions pertinent to withdrawal of funds from the Students Union Account is hereby suspended until The Statement Of Account Of The Students’ Union is received by The Students Representatives Council.”
