The Management of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko has suspended the activities of the Kegites Club till further notice.
This suspension of the club’s activities was disclosed in statement by the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Olusegun Owolewa.
In the statement, the Dean said the suspension is as a result of the power struggle within the club, which could threaten the peace of the University community.
The statement reads in part, “In view of the internal wrangling, in Kegite Club, Akungba, which could threaten the peace and tranquility of the campus, all activities of the Kegite Club are hereby suspended till further notice.”
Dr Owolewa announced that activities of the Kegite should not take place on campus and that previous approvals of the club has been withdrawn.
“For the purpose of emphasis, no such activities of the Kegite Club should take place in any part of the campus.
“Previous approvals of Kegite activities are hereby withdrawn,” the Dean added.
