The Vice Chancellor of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Prof. Olugbenga Ige, has called on new students of the Institution to make proper registration and also make payments of their tuition fee as it’s a criteria for all students to sit for the upcoming examination.
Prof Olugbenga Ige, made this clarification during his opening speech at the 2020/2021 Matriculation ceremony which was held today at the school multipurpose hall.
In an interview with one of the correspondent from AAUA INSIDER, the Vice Chancellor make it known to the correspondent that the policy will be implemented faithfully and examination will commence at the appropriate time.
Furthermore; Prof Olugbenga Ige who is also the Vice Chancellor said, the only reason why you should be in a university is to learn and to also be tested about what you have learnt and while testing you, how are we to know you’re a student only if you’ve registered, and you must be registered so that people will know you’re a student of the institution and if you’ve not registered, the implication of that very action is that you are not a student of the institution. and if you’re not our student we can not conduct exam for you.
Moreso, he concluded by saying pay your school fees, make registration and show your clarence that when you show your clarence you would be allowed into the examination hall. Without registration and without payment of school fee will be infirm as from this session.
He further noted that there are scheme for indigent student, such as work and study which is just 2hrs a day and thank God we are already done with 2019/2020 set and they’ve been paid now. He later pointed out other scheme for student where the management pays half of the physical challenge student
In conclusion, Prof Olugbenga Ige made it known that he is looking towards stability of the academic programs because by March 2022 the school should have been able to roundup this session and start 2021/2022 academic session.
