2020/2021 Matriculation: VC Charges Students to Shun Criminality Act

The Vice-Chancellor of Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba Akoko Ondo State, Prof Olugbenga Ebenezer Ige has charged all the newly matriculated students to shun any form of social vices and criminal acts.

Professor Ige made the call on Thursday, November 11, 2021, at the Matriculation Ceremony for the 2020/2021 academic session held in the University Multi-purpose Hall. Thousands of new students from the eight faculties and the Postgraduate School took the Matriculation Oath at the ceremony.

Prof Olugbenga Ige said the purpose of this event is for the students to be aware of the laydown laws and regulations that govern the university. We have to make it clear to them so that they won’t run into any form of misconduct.

Furthermore, The VC said, “It is important to mention that Adekunle Ajasin University has become a potent boot camp for grooming confident and globally-competitive graduates who are distinguished in character and learning.”

More so, he said let every student be law-abiding and let them register their various courses and they should shun every form of social vices, such as cultism, Yahoo Yahoo, criminality, exam malpractice and all forms of crime, they should run from it. because the university has zero tolerance for it, especially examination misconduct won’t be handled lightly including every form of social vices.

While concluding. The vice-Chancellor said he made this known to the students so that their major aim of coming to the institution will be realized.
